1 year down! - May 16, 2016

Hello family!
Just in case y'all were wondering, I survived my first full week as a sister training leader! It consisted of being so busy I didn't get a single moment to myself which was exhausting but I managed. We had zone meeting and I gave a training in front of the whole zone which is about 50-60 missionaries. The chapel was packed! Not to mention that President and Sister Craig were there because they are in my zone..Talk about intense! But it went well.

Basically I was so busy all week before zone meeting that I didn't get a chance to fully prepare my training so I had to get up and go by the spirit. I had a few quotes and a few scriptures but it turned out great! I gave a training on charity! After doing trainings I had the lovely privilege to do the role plays in front of the whole zone. Once again, I wanted to die! I hate role plays as is. So basically we role played how to invite someone to baptism by reading 3 Nephi 11. After we did that the zone critiques you and you have to re role play.. Don't worry though. All went well some how!

After zone conference I had my first trade off. It was fun! I went on a trade off with Sister Stoddard. She is serving in Mandarin 2nd ward. It was actually a kinda awkward trade off. The two sisters have been struggling and don't get along so the sister I went with broke down and I just didn't know what to do. I wanted to tell her to suck it up but I knew I couldn't. I just awkwardly tried to comfort her. Hopefully I helped some how. We had another trade off on Friday. It was a lot of fun as well! This time I went with the Mandarin 1st Ward sisters and it was so much fun to hear how all of the old people I worked with are doing! I did a trade off with sister Linton. She is awesome! She is from West Jordan and we decided we are going to become best friends after the mission.

So, this week is kinda a blur I can't really remember what happened. I guess I will just tell you about the people we are working with and hopefully then the stories just come.

First off, we have John Simmons.  He is amazing! He is getting baptized on May 28th!! He loves everything and just can't wait to be baptized. He already calls himself a member. The greatest thing happened to him this week. So a few weeks ago his bike got stolen and this week the senior couple missionaries were able to find him a new bike! He was so happy when they dropped it off!

Next we are working with Nanny. She is the grandma of a member in our ward. She is 83 and awesome! I hope to be just like her when I am that old! She just loves us to death! She called us her little girls or if she wants to talk to you she calls you baby.. Haha it's great! She has a baptism date for June 11. She came to church yesterday for the first time and loved it!

We are also working with a lady named Julie. She is great! Her daughter was a member in the YSA ward here but she passed away last year and ever since then Julie has had dreams that she needs to do her daughters temple work! Crazy right? Now we just have to work on getting her baptized!

We did service this week for the elders investigator named Judy.. That was scary! So she lives in this small one bedroom apartment and she is a hoarder.. The complex told her that if she does not clean it up she will get kicked out so we are helping her. Let's just say the apartment reminded me of something a little worse then Grandma Webb's.  You could not walk in because their we're just piles of things everywhere. Well, we first off I had to coat myself in bug spray because she has fleas in her house... Then she had millions of cockroaches... I just wanted to die! You know how when I go to the DI I get really itchy and I just don't like it? Yeah, this was like a million times worse! I felt as if I couldn't touch anything or else I was going to get fleas and then I just got really itchy! Haha it was all in my head but it was bad!

Well, that about sums up my week! I am basically so exhausted I don't want to write anymore.. This is good though! It just shows how hard I am working.  I'm trying to adjust to sister training leader life! I feel as if I am constantly on the phone reporting numbers to the zone leaders or on a conference call.. But I'll get use to it!

Before I forget I will give y'all my address! It is:

1564 Arcadia Dr. #517
Jacksonville Florida 32207.

Now I expect a lot of letters and packages to be flooding into my mailbox now that y'all have it! Love and miss you all!

Love,
Sister Webb

P.S. I hit my year mark on Friday!!! Can you believe that I have been out a year now?? Crazy right? Time is flying!! I come home in 6 month!  Whoo!!

We had dinner at a members house and they had this cute little table for us. I felt like I was in a little restaurant.
So here are the photos I have collected of sister Ruesch and I. They explain us so well! We are both very awkward!
This is John! He is our awesome investigator who is going to be baptized on May 28!!! He is so amazing! He just loves everything we teach him, he loves church and being around the members! He can't wait to be baptized!! #mightymiraclemay

Family!!
It was so amazing to skype y'all yesterday! Sorry it was so chaotic..

I'm glad y'all live close enough that y'all could quickly drive to moms last minute to see me! Sadly, David's skype on his phone didn't work so I just had a lovely phone call to him after I talked to y'all. It was so amazing to see y'all and to finally see Ivy! I'm stoked that I'll be home in 6 months and can see y'all again!

So I guess I will just give y'all the weekly update. Last Monday was fun, it was one of my last days in Ocala we went out with some of the young women in the ward that night and it was great!

On Tuesday we spent the day seeing everyone I needed to say goodbye to and having lessons. That was a sad day. The best one was seeing Amanda. Like I told y'all, on Monday she did my nails for me and then gave me some perfume, a necklace, and a bracelet and also 2 pairs of expensive boots!  She is the best! Then on Tuesday when I stopped by she gave me a giant box of chocolates and roses with the sweetest card ever! Man, I just love her to death and I'm so excited for her to get baptized!! On Tuesday night Sister Olsen and I spent the night dying our hair and then I packed.. I had so much stuff!! It took forever!

So Wednesday, we had transfers.. It was so sad to say goodbye to Sister Olsen. I miss her so much already!! I'm loving it here in Jacksonville. My companion is Sister Ruesch. She came out the same time that I did but we didn't know each other until we got to the mission. So, being a sister training leader may kill me! I'll be giving my first training in zone meeting on Wednesday and then next week we have zone conferences and then we have interviews. Not to mention that we have 2 trade offs a week the rest of the month. Let's just say I'm already overly stressed! Haha so my new companion is good. She is very happy all the time and just loves to talk to everyone. And when I say that I'm not even kidding! We will be driving and she will pull over and unroll the window just to talk to someone.  She is constantly wanting to be working so we rarely get a lunch or dinner break. Let's just say it's a new adjustment and might be long transfer for me.

So let me quickly tell you about the people we have here in Jacksonville that we are preparing for baptism. We are working with John Simmons. He is going to be baptized on May 28. We have Nanny, she is going to be baptized June 11. And then we are working on setting a baptism date with Julie and her family!

Well, basically I have no time for emails.. I will write better next week! Love you all and I'm so happy we got to see each other yesterday!

Love you and miss yall!
Sister Webb

Transfers... Got to hate them! - May 2, 2016

Family!!
I have some very sad news but some very exciting news!!! So sad news first, I did not survive transfers...sadly I will be leaving Ocala on Wednesday to head back to Jacksonville! Ok brace yourselves for my good news!! This may shock every single one of you because it sure shocked me! The good news is I've become the new sister training leader for the Jacksonville east area!!! I'm now the sister who will be in charge of all the sisters in my area and will be doing trade offs every week with them! Not to mention I will be giving trainings all the time at zone meetings and district meetings.. I'm pretty sure Heavenly Father just wanted a good laugh by putting me in panic mode!

So this week has been a long week but a week filled with many miracles! I will start with Monday. I didn't tell you about this story in the last email because well I was to lazy to write on my birthday.
I need to tell y'all about Jim and Easton. So 2 Friday's ago we were walking down the street to an appointment and this man pulls over in a jeep and starts yelling out the window at us. I told Sister Olsen to keep walking because I was not going to talk to him. Well Sister Olsen likes to pretend to talk to everyone. This means she walks up to everyone says hi and then nothing else, leaving me to then continue talking and lead into teaching. So she does this with Easton. Now let me explain Easton to y'all. He is the biggest hillbilly that I have ever seen and has this thick southern accent! So we tell him we are missionaries and that we share a message about the Book of Mormon. He says he is interested and that he wants to come to church. So we leave a card with our number and the address to church and say we will save him a spot on Sunday. We left and I was like, "ya this man is never going to call or come to church.." Wrong!! The next day he calls and confirms the time church starts and says that he is going to bring a friend. I still don't believe this man. Well, I was wrong... He showed up to church on Sunday and brought a friend named Jim! Miracle!! They both are these hillbillies with a bunch of tattoos and Easton has his key chain around his neck with a lighter attached! Haha Jim loved church and got real emotional when we asked him how he liked it! He said he had never been to a better church! He loved it!! anyways, we set up an appointment to teach them Monday night. We taught the restoration to them on Monday night and again Jim loved it! He cried when we talked about the restoration and showed him the Joseph Smith picture. Then on Friday we had another lesson with them and taught the Plan of Salvation. This lesson hit home to Jim. His wife died 4 years ago and he loved the fact that she could get sealed to him for eternity! We invited Jim to baptism that night and set a date! It was such an amazing lesson! Ok here comes the funny story, so we are at the lesson and Easton walks up to us with his beer in his hand and a cigarette in the other and asks us if we have ever seen the real Mississippi hillbilly? Of course we have no idea what he is talking about and think he is just calling himself the Mississippi hillbilly.

Well, he walks back to his jeep and comes back with a harmonica! He gives it to me and tells me to try it out.. Haha of course I am thinking this man is crazy because I'm not putting my lips to his harmonica ever. So I awkwardly try blowing in it with out my lips touching it. He basically tells me I am doing it all wrong and takes it from me and starts to play it to demonstrate. He then gives it back to me and tells me that it's my turn again. By this point I'm dying because I don't know what to do. I still awkwardly try to blow in it and he then tells me I need to take it home and practice. He told me that if I practice he will let me be in his band! So, I take home the harmonica and Lysol it down and let me just say, I have become quite good at playing it! I'm probably going to get a disease from it but oh well! I played some random hillbilly's harmonica!! We are going back to see him tonight so I will tell y'all about that next week!

We had a lesson with George this week. Somehow my lessons with him always get very heated and I always start to yell. This week we got in a heated session and he once again told me that I am very prideful! It may have gotten me a little mad so I yelled back and told him he was prideful  as well! All he said back was "I know"! After that I told him he had to shut up and just listen to what I have to say. Our next lesson with him went very well! We talked about missionary work and we role-played the restoration with him. He is planning to go out knocking doors with the elders on Thursday! I'm excited to hear how it all goes!

Friday we spent sometime helping Tonnie and JQ move! It was fun! All the elders came and helped us! We got them all moved in to their new place and they love it!

We did service on Saturday for the March for Babies /March for Dimes fundraiser. It was a lot of fun. We woke up at 5:20 so we could be there by  6. Once we were there we filled up a ton of balloons and put them everywhere. Then around 9 a BBQ place donated a bunch of stuff to make pulled pork sandwiches so we helped make those. It was fun. The rule was that you could not touch anything but the food once you had your gloves on. Well the meat kept falling on the table so I kept bending over and licking it right off of the table! Haha yes, you heard me right.. I was licking food off of a table because my mom wasn't there to tell me to use my manners. Don't worry, once we were all finished they let me lick the pan clean that the meat was in! Haha it was a lot of fun at the service project!
Basically that's all that's been happening here! I'm super stressing already about being a sister training leader. I'll be giving my first zone meeting training next week!! Yikes! I'm definitely not ready for this!! Anyways, I basically got too slack to keep writing so I will write more next week!
Love and miss y'all!
I can't wait to skype on Sunday!!
Love,
Sister Webb

So this is Brother Randolph.. He is pretty cool! We have been teaching him for the past 4 months but he has been taught for years now. He always has a cigarette and beer in his hand but is the sweetest guy you'll ever meet! I'm going to miss those suspenders!
This is me and the tin man one of the elders named.  Elder Lewis made it for Brother Randolph. Brother Randolph thinks I am Elder Lewis's future wife so he had me sign the tin man and take a picture with it!
My good-bye picture with Nicole and Nathan Acosta! They are the cutest kids in the world!
Saying good  by to Sister Acosta!! I'm going to miss her so much!
